Restoring Hope - Enhancing Communities
The Community Chest of South Africa is a national body focused on Restoring Hope and Enhancing Communities within South Africa.
In order to achieve this vision it aims to:
- To develop and maintain a national identity for the Chest movement in South Africa.
- To co-ordinate approaches to specific issues within the Chest movement.
- To lobby on behalf of the individual members at national and government level.
- To inspire involve, develop and encourage the member chests.
- To seek funding on a national level to implement at regional level.
- To co-ordinate national programs in which the individual member Community Chests participate in.
- To engage with international bodies such as United Way in order to ensure that the movement adopts best practices.
